During the holiday season, ARTIS - Art History Institute (FLUL) will be closed on the 26th, 27th and 29th of December (2023) and the 2nd of January.

"Heritage at the Crossroads: Preservation of Goa's Architectural Treasures" will be launched on the 13th of December. The book is a collection of essays edited by Joaquim Rodrigues dos Santos, researcher at ARTIS - Art History Institute (FLUL), and co-authored by various specialists in Goa's artistic heritage. The event will take place in the Fundação Oriente's Panaji delegation, and will be open to all.

In its spatial or topographical, chronological and historical and anthropological dimensions, material culture is related to the purpose or meaning that objects have for a particular people or culture and is essential in defining a society's cultural identity.
