Conversations around Josefa

As of February 1, at 3:30 pm, the annual cycle of "Conversations around Josefa" begins at the Municipal Museum of Óbidos, which will continue throughout the year in order to talk about the many facets of this great painter from the 17th century.

This initiative is part of a work program that aims at reflection, knowledge, ideas, and promoting the interconnection between institutions that in their heritage have works by Josefa and Baltazar Gomes Figueira, painter and father of the artist.

The first session, by Sónia Talhé Azambuja, researcher, is entitled "Josefa de Óbidos and the fascination with Nature".

There will also be a presentation of the work "A Linguagem Simbólica da Natureza", e-book edition, by Miguel Cabral Moncada - Editora Scribe.
