FCT | THE 6TH EDITION OF THE CALL "ESTÍMULO AO EMPREGO CIENTÍFICO INDIVIDUAL"

From 4 April to 8 May 2023

ARTIS-IHA is available to host applications for the Call "Estímulo ao Emprego Científico Individual" (Individual CEEC) related to its main research areas: Portuguese art history, contemporary art and azulejo studies, among others.

Applicants should start by sending an e-mail with a description of the research they plan to develop, along with a cover letter and a detailed CV, to one of the coordinators of ARTIS' three research groups or of specific ongoing projects (please see the e-mail addresses below). The deadline for this initial contact is 14 April 2023. The period for acceptance of the application by the principal contractor is from 4 to 15 May 2023 (until 17.00 (Lisbon Time Zone - UTC+1)).

Objective: The Individual CEEC is an annual call aimed at promoting the hiring of researchers with doctorates in all scientific areas who intend to carry out their scientific research or technological development activities in Portugal, at the institutions of the National System of Science and Technology (SNCT). This call allows for the hiring of 400 doctoral researchers under the Scientific Employment Regulation (REC).

Individual CEEC contracts last up to 6 years and will be awarded, in this edition, according to three categories:
- Junior researcher: PhD holders for 5 years or less, counted as of the closing date of the application submission period, with reduced post-doctoral research experience in the scientific area to which they are applying;

- Auxiliary researcher: PhD holders for more than 5 and less than 12 years, inclusive, counted as of the closing date of the application submission period, with a relevant curriculum in the scientific area to which they are applying;

- Principal researcher: PhD holders for more than 12 years, counted as of the closing date of the application submission period, with a relevant curriculum vitae in the scientific area to which they are applying, demonstrating some scientific independence in the last 3 years.

Applications must be submitted by filling out, in English, a specific form that can be accessed online on the myFCT portal.
